On August 14, Dhaka became the stage for one of the most forward-looking conversations in banking. Bankers’ Meet 2025, hosted by Filps in association with City Bank, Prime Bank, and AB Bank, brought together senior executives and leaders from Bangladesh’s financial sector to explore what the future of banking could look like in a world reshaped by AI, data, and customer-first innovation.

This wasn’t just an event, it was a space for collaboration, dialogue, and bold thinking about the next decades of financial services.

Event highlight: Brett King on Bank 5.0

A highlight of the evening was a keynote by Brett King, globally recognized futurist, international bestselling author, and one of the most influential voices in banking.

King challenged the audience to look beyond today’s systems, making note of how emerging customer technologies like AI and smart wearables could define new ways in which customers interact with banking and financial services.

He also touched on climate, and how what climate impact might mean for livelihood of millions in the near future - calling upon bankers and their roles in being a part of the solution.

Importantly, King pointed out how Bangladesh has a unique opportunity: to leapfrog legacy models and build digital-first institutions ready for the next era of finance.
